Introducing Penn Disc Golf
Flying disc lovers, it is with great pleasure that I am able to write to you today with Gatekeeper Media. My name is Brandon DaGrosa (#157742), and I am an amateur disc golfer from Hazleton, Pennsylvania who recently discovered this amazing sport amidst the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Like most, I have been glued to the sport and spend most of my time doing something related to the sport (playing, watching, dying discs, dreaming). I even started my own disc golf blog (PennDiscGolf) to write about my experiences, course reviews, and other disc golf news.
My favorite thing to do is to travel while playing new courses along the way. I made it to Texas, Florida, New York, and New Jersey in 2021. In Texas, I competed in the NADGT Disc Golf Championship, one of the largest disc golf events ever. I played in the recreational division and placed 5th out of 193, one of my biggest accomplishments to date. If you want to learn more about my experience, check out my article on it here. During my layover in Fort Lauderdale, I got to experience palm trees, iguanas, and fun disc golf holes at Snyder Park which was quite the experience.
Outside of disc golf, I am pursuing a bachelor’s degree in health administration with minors in business administration and mathematics at The University of Scranton. In my free time, I also enjoy hiking, spikeball, swimming, poker, and ultimate frisbee. I will be regularly posting blogs on both Gatekeeper Media and PennDiscGolf and I look forward to providing some more content soon. Stay tuned for my next post!
