Gatekeeper Resolutions Day 25: A Putter Roller Drill To Get You Out Of Trouble

Day 25! This is going to be another get-out-of-trouble type day. Your best friend for today will be a baseline plastic putter, because we’re going to throw rollers to upshots, from upshots to baskets, and from baskets to the next tee.

  1. Play a normal round, but before you can throw your next shot, you have to get a putter flick roller to land within 10 feet of your lie or the next teepad.

  2. Although no pros are signing up for a putter flick roller as part of their gameplan, when you get stuck in the woods and need something to curl up precisely, or not go too far, a putter roller is a pretty viable option.

  3. Today is all about trial and error–so don’t panic if you’re not good at it.

  4. You “win” the game when you can modulate the power, landing angle, and landing distance of a flick roller to have both the path and the finishing location that you desire.
