Gatekeeper Resolutions Day 9: Try Playing The Floor Is Lava!

Day 9! The floor is lava. Find a hole or upshot that you would probably park most of the time. Doesn’t matter what distance it is, we’re talking that you’d get up and down in 2 shots 80+ percent of the time. Now ½ of the green is lava. Doesn’t matter what half… right, left, back, front, some weird squiggle. You “win” the game when you land all of your shots on that half of the green at a distance that you still can make the putt. The purpose of this is to train yourself to find more advantageous sides of landing zones (better wind, better angle for next shot, less obstructed putt, groundplay, avoiding OB). You can also do it on a round… play each hole as though you have to land to half of the green.
